Benson Henderson defends lightweight title in main event of UFC 164 against TJ Grant

Benson Henderson will be making his next title defense in the main event of UFC 164 on August 31st in Milwaukee as he is challenged by TJ Grant. UFC 164

The fight booking was announced during Tuesday night’s edition of UFC Tonight.

UFC 164 will come from the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee and pre-sale tickets are currently on sale.

Henderson (19-2) has won seven straight fights with all of the wins coming by unanimous or split decision. He is coming off split decision win over Strikeforce lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez and this will be his first fight on pay-per-view since his split decision win over Frankie Edgar at UFC 150 last year.

Grant (21-5) dropped down to the lightweight division in 2011 and has gone 5-0 in the division. After winning four in a row, the UFC set up a number one contenders bout with him taking on Gray Maynard at UFC 160 and Grant won the fight in the first round by knockout.
