Bowles was the only fighter that tested positive and NSAC Executive Director Keith Kizer said in a statement on Friday that was sent to TheMMAReport.com.

“All athletes tested,” Kizer said. “All results negative, except Brian Bowles tested positive for an elevated T/E ratio (> 20). A complaint will be forthcoming.”

The legal limit in the state of Nevada for T/E is 6:1 and Bowles ratio was greater than 20:1.

He did not have an exemption for testosterone replacement therapy and Kizer recently told TheMMAReport.com that a fighter has not have an exemption for it since UFC 148 last July.

UFC 160 took place on May 25th from the MGM Grand Garden Arena and was headlined by Cain Velasquez successfully defending the UFC heavyweight title against Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva as he won in the first round by TKO.

The Nevada Attorney General’s office will notify Bowles of his positive drug test and temporary suspension shortly and he will be able to appeal the suspension at a future commission meeting.

Bowles (10-3) was defeated by George Roop by TKO in the second round during the preliminary card and it was his second straight defeat in the UFC. The bout at UFC 160 was his first fight since November of 2011 and he has lost both of his fights in the UFC by stoppage.

At this time, the former WEC champion has not issued a statement about his UFC 160 post fight drug test.
