A pair of heavyweight fighters will make their UFC debut on August 28th in Indianapolis as Derrick Lewis will face Strikeforce veteran Nandor Guelmino.
UFC officials announced the fight on Friday and the bout will be apart of the preliminary card of UFC on FS1: Condit vs. Kampmann.
UFC on FS1: Condit vs. Kampmann will take place from the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 28th and will be headlined by a scheduled five round welterweight bout as former interim UFC welterweight champion Carlos Condit faces Martin Kampmann.
Lewis (9-2) has won his last three fights and was the Legacy Fighting Championships heavyweight champion. He is 5-0, 1NC in his last six fights and all of his career wins are by stoppage with eight of the victories coming by knockout.
Guelmino (11-4-1) was on a seven fight win streak before losing to Josh Barnett in his Strikeforce debut at the beginning of the year. During his winning streak, five of the victories came by stoppage with four of the wins coming in the first round.
