UFC officials announced the change on Friday evening and the bout will remain on the preliminary card.

UFC 162 takes place on July 6th from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will be headlined by Anderson Silva defending the UFC middleweight title against Chris Weidman.

Gonzaga (14-7) is in his second stint in the UFC and recently had a three fight winning streak snap when he was defeated by Travis Browne at The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale in April. He was defeated by knockout and it was his first knockout lost since 2010.
