The opening bout of the UFC 161 pay-per-view card was a heavyweight bout as Shawn Jordan scored a devastating knockout victory over Pat Barry in the first round.
As the fight opened, Barry landed a kick to the arm of Savage and followed up the kick with a right hand. That would be all of the offense that he would be able to mount as Jordan landed an uppercut that had Barry on his heels.
After he landed the uppercut, Jordan went in for the finish and landed multiple strikes on the ground before the referee came in to stop the fight.
Jordan (15-4) has now won back to back fights in the UFC by TKO and with this being the only knockout of the fight card so far, he is the leader in the clubhouse for the knockout of the night bonus.
