This past Saturday night the UFC held its FUEL TV 10 event which featured Fabricio Werdum defeating Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira by submission in the second round.
According to Nielsen sources, the FUEL TV 10 live preliminary ratings number came in about 32% higher than FUEL TV 9, reaching roughly 313,000 viewers.
Again, this number is simply preliminary so it is bound to change a little bit. Demographic numbers were not released at the time of this posting.
When it came to the Saturday night network competition the UFC was up against the NHL on NBC and Fox Saturday Baseball.
The Kings and Blackhawks, NHL playoff game 5, did a huge 3.320 million viewers (fourth place for the night) and a huge 1.1 in the 18-49 adult demographic (second place for the night). The NHL has been on a winning streak this entire playoffs and looks to be even bigger with two original six teams playing for the cup starting this week.
The UFC was also up against some friendly Fox Baseball competition that pulled a 3.211 million viewers (fifth place for the night) and a respectable .7 in the 18-49 adult demographic (fourth place for the night).
