Conor McGregor was schedule to face Andy Ogle at UFC on FS1 in Boston next month but Ogle is out of the bout with a staph infection and replacing him against McGregor will be Max Holloway.
UFC officials announced the change on Wednesday and the new fight will take place on the preliminary card.
UFC on FS1: Shogun vs. Sonnen takes place on August 17th from the TD Garden in Boston and will be headlined by a five round light heavyweight bout as former UFC champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua faces Chael Sonnen.
McGregor (13-2) made his UFC debut earlier this year when he defeated Marcus Brimage by TKO in the first round of UFC on FUEL TV 9 and won the knockout of the night bonus. It was his ninth straight victory and his tenth victory to take place in the first round.
Holloway (7-2) has gone 3-2 in the UFC and recently had his three fight winning streak snapped at UFC 160 against Dennis Bermudez. He lost the fight by split decision and three of his last four fights have gone to the judges scorecards.
