A middleweight bout has been added to UFC 165 in Toronto as Costa Philippou will meet Francis Carmont.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Tuesday and the bout will be on the main card.
UFC 165 takes place on September 21st from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto and will be headlined by Jon Jones defending the UFC light heavyweight title against Alexander Gustafsson.
Philippou (12-2, 1NC) is currently on a five fight winning streak after losing his debut in the UFC in 2011. His most recent win came at UFC 155 against Tim Boetsch and he is currently ranked number seven in the UFC media rankings.
Carmont (21-7) has won ten straight fights and five of those wins have come in the UFC. He most recently defeated Lorenz Larkin by unanimous decision at UFC on FOX 7 and three of his wins in the UFC have come by decision.
