A featherweight bout has been added to UFC on FS1 #3 in Brazil on September 4th as Godofredo Pepey faces Sam Sicilia in a battle of Ultimate Fighter alums.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Friday after the bout was reported by Globo in Brazil.
UFC on FS1 #3 will come from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil and will be headlined by a five round light heavyweight bout as Glover Teixeira facing Ryan Bader.
Pepey (9-2) was a finalist in The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 1 as he was defeated by Rony Jason in the featherweight final. He earned his first official UFC victory at the beginning of the year at UFC on FX 7 against Milton Vieira and was defeated in June by Felipe Aranted at UFC on FUEL TV 10.
Sicilia (11-3) was on The Ultimate Fighter 15 and won his official debut at the live final against Cristiano Marcello. Since that fight, he has dropped back to back fights with the defeats coming against Jason and Maximo Blanco.
