Another injury has forced the UFC to make a change to the upcoming UFC Fight Night 28 card in Brazil as Kenny Robertson has pulled out of his fight against Joao Zeferino and replacing Robertson will be Elias Silverio.
UFC officials confirmed the change on Friday and the bout will remain on the preliminary card which is expected to be streamed on the UFC Facebook page.
UFC Fight Night 28: Teixeira vs. Bader will come from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil on September 4th and will be headlined by a five round light heavyweight bout as Glover Teixeira facing Ryan Bader.
Silverio (8-0) will be making his UFC debut in this bout and three of his last five wins have come by TKO/KO. This will be his third fight of 2013 and his most recent victory came in May at Jungle Fights 52 against Junior Orgulho.
Zeferino (13-5) made his UFC debut earlier this year as a middleweight and was defeated by Rafael Natal at UFC on FX 8 by unanimous decision. The defeat snapped a seven fight winning streak and five of those victories came by stoppage.
