A pair of fights have been made official for UFC Fight Night 29 on October 9th as David Mitchell meets Yan Cabral and Ildemar Alcantara faces Igor Araujo.
UFC officials made the fight bookings official on Friday and both fights will be apart of the preliminary card.
UFC Fight Night 29 will take place from the Jose Correa Arena in Barueri, Sao Paulo, Brazil and will be headlined by a welterweight bout as Demian Maia meets Jake Shields.
Mitchell (12-3) has lost three of his four fights in the UFC and is only victory in the organization came at UFC on FOX 6 at the beginning of the year against Simeon Thoresen. Cabral (10-0) is a TUF Brazil 2 alum and this will be his UFC debut. All ten of his victories are by submission with five of his last seven coming by arm triangle choke.
Alcantara (19-5) has won back to back fights in the UFC and is currently on a nine fight winning streak. He is coming off a win against Leandro Silva at UFC on FUEL TV 9, which was his UFC welterweight debut. Araujo (23-6, 1NC) has won four straight fights and this will be his UFC debut. Three of his last four wins are by submission and seventeen of his career wins have come by submission.
