An undisclosed injury has forced Sam Sicilia to pull out of his UFC Fight Night 28 bout against Felipe Arantes and replacing him in the bout will be UFC newcomer Edimilson “Kevin” Souza.
UFC officials recently announced the change and the new bout will take place on the preliminary card.
UFC Fight Night 28: Teixeira vs. Bader will come from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil on September 4th and will be headlined by a five round light heavyweight bout as Glover Teixeira facing Ryan Bader.
Souza (13-3) has won seven straight fights with all of the wins during his recent winning streak coming by TKO/KO and five of those wins took place in the first round.
Arantes (15-4-1, 2NC) has gone 2-1-1 in his four fights in the UFC and is coming off a TKO win over Godofredo Castro at UFC on FUEL TV 10. He won the fight by TKO and it was his seventh career win by TKO/KO.
