A middleweight bout has been added to UFC Fight Night 30 in Manchester as Tom Watson will meet Alessio Sakara.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on early Monday morning and the bout may end up being on the main card broadcast on Fox Sports 2.
UFC Fight Night 30 on October 26th will come from the Manchester Arena and will be headlined by Michael Bisping facing Mark Munoz in a five round middleweight bout.
Watson (16-6) has gone 1-2 in the UFC since entering the organization last year. His only UFC victory came at the beginning of the year when he defeated Stanislav Nedov and won the fight of the night and knockout of the night bonus. His most recent bout took place earlier this month at UFC 163 which he was defeated by Thales Leites by unanimous decision.
Sakara (19-10, 1NC) is currently on a three fight losing streak with the defeats coming against Chris Weidman, Brian Stann and Patrick Cote. His defeat to Cote came by disqualification after he landed multiple strikes to the back of Cote’s head.
