Chico Camus and Kyung Ho Kang battled for three rounds on the UFC 164 preliminary card and Camus won the fight by unanimous decision.
In the opening round, they started off by having a striking battle before Kang perfectly timed a takedown. He would keep the fight on the ground for the rest of the round and had the dominant position.
Camus would be able to reverse the position in the final ten seconds of the round and landed several strikes before the round came to an end.
Kang would take the fight right back to the ground at the start of the second round and continued to work his ground game. After having top position for over three minutes, Camus was able to reverse the position and get on top of Kang.
During a scramble, Camus got the back of his opponent and looked for a submission. Kang would be able escape the submission and Camus ended the round with significant ground strikes.
Camus opened the final round by landing several punches on the feet. After taking the punches of Camus, Kang took the fight to the ground. After being on the mat for two minutes, Camus was able to get back to his feet. Camus landed a series of punches but Kang once again took the fight to the ground.
As the fight was coming to a conclusion, Camus landed an up kick that rocked Kang. With less than ten seconds left in the fight, Camus attempted to finish the fight but he ran out of time. All three judges scored the fight for Camus (13-4) and he has won two of his three fights in the UFC.
