Bellator 102 features heavyweight, bantamweight and middleweight tournament bouts

Bellator MMA will be heading to Visalia, California for Bellator 102 and will feature the semifinal bouts in the season nine heavyweight and middleweight tournaments along with the final of the Summer Series bantamweight tournament.Bellator New Logo #2

Bellator made the fight announcements on Monday and all of the tournament bouts will take place on the main card broadcast on Spike TV.

Bellator 102 will come from the Visalia Convention Center on October 4th and tickets for Bellator 102 can be purchased at www.visaliatix.com or by visiting the Visalia Convention Center Box Office.

The fight card will be headlined by the semifinals of the season nine heavyweight tournament as Vinicius Spartan (6-3) meets Lavar Johnson in the co-main event and Cheick Kongo (18-8-2) faces Mark Godbeer in the main event in the other semifinal bout. The winners will advance to the finals to take place later this year and the winner earn a title shot that will take place in 2014.

Also on the main card will be the continuation of the season nine middleweight tournament and there has been a change to one of the semifinal bouts. Perry Filkins has withdrawn from the tournament with an injury and taking his place in the semifinals will be Joe Pacheco (6-0) as he will meet Brennan Ward (7-1). The other semifinal bout will also take place on this card as Jason Butcher (7-0) looks to remain undefeated as he meets Mikkel Parlo (10-1).
