With featherweights Charles Oliveira and Jeremy Larsen both losing their opponents at UFC 166 in Houston, the UFC has decided to match them against each other on October 19th in Houston.
UFC officials announced the new bout on Tuesday evening and it will be apart of the online preliminary card.
Oliveira was originally booked to face Estevan Payan on this card and Larsen had been booked to face Matt Grice.
UFC 166 takes place on October 19th from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas and will be headlined by Cain Velasquez defending the UFC heavyweight title in his trilogy bout with former champion Junior dos Santos.
Oliveira (16-4, 1NC) has lost back to back fights in the UFC after winning back to back fights by submission in 2012. He was most recently defeated by Frankie Edgar in the co-main event of UFC 162 and the fight was awarded the fight of the night bonus.
Larsen (8-4, 1NC) entered the UFC during The Ultimate Fighter 15 and has dropped both of his fights in the UFC as a lightweight. His most recent defeat came at UFC on FX 8 as he was defeated in the third round by TKO against Lucas Martins.
