A welterweight bout between Ultimate Fighter winners has been scheduled for UFC on FOX 9 as Kelvin Gastelum will meet Court McGee.
The bout was announced on Thursday and it will take place on the preliminary card of the December 14th card.
UFC on FOX 9 will come from the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California on December 14th and will be headlined by Anthony Pettis defending the UFC lightweight title against Josh Thomson.
Gastelum (7-0) won The Ultimate Fighter 17 earlier this year with a decision victory over Uriah Hall. Following that fight, he was booked at UFC Fight Night 27 and he defeated Brian Melancon by submission in the first round in his UFC welterweight debut.
McGee (16-3) defeated Kris McCray in 2010 to win The Ultimate Fighter 11 as a middleweight and dropped down to the welterweight division at the beginning of the year. Since dropping down to the division, he has won back to back fights including a split decision victory over Robert Whittaker at UFC Fight Night 27.
