Scott Jorgensen drops to flyweight and meets Ian McCall at UFC on FOX 9

Scott Jorgensen is dropping down to the flyweight division and he will make his debut in the division against Ian McCall at UFC on FOX 9.

UFC officials announced the fight booking on Tuesday evening and the bout will likely be apart of the preliminary card on Fox Sports 1.

UFC on FOX 9 will come from the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California on December 14th and will be headlined by Anthony Pettis defending the UFC lightweight title against Josh Thomson.

Jorgensen (14-7) has been defeated in three of his last four fights and his last victory came at UFC on FOX 7 against John Albert. He won that fight by submission in the first round and he won the submission and fight of the night bonus. His most recent bout came at The Ultimate Fighter 17 finale and he lost by submission to Urijah Faber.

McCall (12-4-1) was signed by the UFC in late 2011 and went 0-2-1 in his first three fights in the organization. He earned his first UFC victory against Illiarde Santos at UFC 163 and won the fight of the night bonus.
