A heavyweight bout has been added to UFC Fight Night 33 on December 7th in Australia as Soa Palelei will meet Pat Barry.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on late Friday evening after the bout was reported in Australia.
UFC Fight Night 33 will take place from the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in on December 7th in Australia and will be headlined by Mark Hunt meeting Antonio Silva in a heavyweight bout. The event will air live in the United States on December 6th, due to the time difference between United States and Australia.
Palelei (19-3) returned to the UFC at the end of August and defeated Nikita Krylov by TKO in the third round on the preliminary card of UFC 164. It was his ninth straight victory and all of those victories have come by TKO/KO.
Barry (8-6) has been in the UFC since the end of 2008 and has gone 4-6 in the organization. His most recent fight in the UFC took place at UFC 161 this summer as he was defeated by Shawn Jordan in the first round.
