The UFC 165 preliminary card on Fox Sports 1 featured Myles Jury defeating Mike Ricci via split decision.
According to Nielsen sources, the UFC 165 preliminary overnight rating for the preliminary card landed down at 722k total viewers.
The previous preliminary card of UFC 164, which was also on FS1, scored 809k total viewers.
The 722k total viewer number is a drop of roughly 10% and is now the lowest PPV preliminary number ever for FX and FS1 dating back to UFC 142 and UFC 164. Again, not a huge surprise, being this is going to be a growing process and in the middle of a tough College Football season.
When it came to the rest of the competition on Saturday night, the biggest issue for the UFC was once again College Football on ABC and Fox.
ABC offered up both Texas versus Kansas State and Michigan versus Connecticut which both drew over 5 million total viewers with a 1.5/5 rating. Fox countered with Arizona State versus Stanford which drew only 1.5 million viewers and a low 0.5/2 rating.
