A bantamweight bout has officially been added to UFC Fight Night 33 in Australia as Alex Caceres will meet Mitch Gagnon.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Wednesday after it was reported by the Australian MMA news site MMA Kanvas.
UFC Fight Night 33 will take place from the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in on December 7th in Australia and will be headlined by Mark Hunt meeting Antonio Silva in a heavyweight bout.
The event will air live in the United States on December 6th, due to the time difference between United States and Australia.
Caceres (9-5, 1NC) has gone 4-1, 1NC since dropping down to the bantamweight division in 2011 and is unbeaten in his last four fights. Following a suspension, he returned at UFC 165 last month and defeated Roland Delorme by split decision on the preliminary card.
Gagnon (10-2) made his debut in the UFC last year and has won back to back fights after dropping his debut at UFC 149 against Bryan Caraway. He was also on the UFC 165 preliminary card and he won the submission of the night bonus for his guillotine choke victory over Dustin Kimura.
