UPDATED: Bellator 101 took place this past Friday night from Portland, Oregon and we saw Joe Warren defeat Nick Kirk via submission midway through round two.
According to Nielsen sources, Bellator 101’s preliminary viewership landed at 649k total viewers. This number is down from last weeks 700k total viewership number.
The peak number for the show was over 932k total viewers and the replay immediately following pulled 308k total viewers for a final cumulative of over 957k total viewers.
Bellator did crack the top-100 cable shows, landing at #23 with a 0.2 rating in the 18-49 adult demographic.
When it came to the competition, Bellator’s biggest challenge for viewership and demographic numbers was once again WWE Smackdown which landed up a notch to 2.631 million viewers and a huge 0.9 in the 18-49 adult demographic.
However, it should be noted, ESPN’s College Football game only drew 838k total viewers and a 0.3 in the 18-49 adult demographic with Utah State at San Jose State, which is the lowest of the season so far.
For what it is worth, the national networks, which also went head-t0-head with Bellator stole the majority of the viewing market with the Hawaii Five-O premier reaching over 9.38 million viewers and the Blue Bloods premier eclipsing over 11.39 million viewers.
