The opening bout of the Bellator 105 main card on Spike TV was a middleweight bout as Eugene Fadiora defeated Keith Berry by TKO in the second round.
As the fight opened, Berry came out swinging and Fadiora initiated the clinch against the fence. After landing short strikes in the clinch, Fadiora was able to get the fight to the ground. Berry would work his way back to his feet, but Fadiora would get the fight right back to the ground.
While on the ground, Fadiora landed several short elbows and Berry attempted to get a triangle choke. Fadiora escaped the potential submission attempt and the fight moved back to the feet. The rest of the round would remain on the feet with Fadiora landed significant strikes before the round came to an end.
Fadiora continued to land his strikes as the second round opened and was targeting the right eye of Berry, which had a cut over his eyebrow. Berry was able to catch Fadiora with a flurry of punches in the second minute of the round, but Fadiora took the fight to the ground. He would be able to pass to side control and rained down short elbows. Berry attempted to get out of the position, but he was unable to get Fadiora off him and the referee would eventually come in to stop the fight.
Fadiora (13-1) has now won four in a row and all of those wins have come by stoppage. His last eight victories have come by stoppage and this is his first win by TKO since 2010.
