The coaches of the next season of “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil” were revealed on Monday evening as the show will be coached by rivals Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva
UFC President Dana White announced the coaches during Monday night’s edition of Fox Sports Live on Fox Sports 1.
Upon the conclusion of the reality show airing, Sonnen and Silva will face each other in a light heavyweight bout, according to a Fox Sports news story.
Sonnen and Silva have become rivals over the past couple of months in interviews and on Twitter. Sonnen has made multiple statements about Silva, including writing poems that he has read on UFC Tonight. On the other side, Silva has released videos describing what he wants to do against Sonnen in the cage, including Silva confronting Sonnen at a convention in Las Vegas.
This will be the second time that Sonnen is a coach on “The Ultimate Fighter” as he was a coach during season 17. This will also be the second time that Silva has been a coach on the reality show as he was one of the coaches on the first season of TUF Brazil.
A timetable for the airing of “The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3” is unknown at this time and when they will meet each other inside the UFC octagon.
