A featherweight bout has been added to UFC 168 on December 28th in Las Vegas as Robbie Peralta meets Estevan Payan.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Monday and the fight will be place on the preliminary card.
UFC 168 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on December 28th and will be headlined by a rematch as Chris Weidman defends the UFC middleweight title against former champion Anderson Silva.
Peralta (16-4, 1NC) made his UFC debut in 2011 and has gone 2-1, 1NC. He is coming off a decision defeat against Akira Corrassani at UFC on FUEL TV 9. Following the bout, it was revealed that he tested positive for marijuana and this will be his first fight since coming off suspension.
Payan (14-4, 1NC) entered the UFC earlier this year on an eight fight unbeaten streak, including two wins in Strikeforce. He dropped his UFC debut against Jeremy Stephens at UFC 160 and it was his first defeat since 2009 when he lost a fight in the promotion Shark Fights.
