A welterweight bout has been added to the end of the year pay-per-view at UFC 168 as Ultimate Fighter Brazil 2 finalist William Macario meets Bobby Voelker.
UFC officials confirmed the fight booking after the bout was reported in Brazil.
UFC 168 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on December 28th and will be headlined by a rematch as Chris Weidman defends the UFC middleweight title against former champion Anderson Silva.
Marcario (6-1) was defeated in the final of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 2 by submission against Leonardo Santos and this will be his first fight since suffering his first career defeat. All of his wins have come by stoppage and five of those six wins have come in the first round.
Voelker (24-10) entered the UFC after having multiple fights in Strikeforce and has dropped back to back fights in the UFC. His most recent defeat came at UFC on FOX 8 when he was defeated in the second round by knockout against Robbie Lawler.
