The UFC 166 Fight Night bonuses went to Gilbert Melendez, Diego Sanchez, John Dodson, and Tony Ferguson.
UFC President Dana White announced the bonuses at the post fight press conference and each fighter will receive a bonus of $60,000.
Melendez and Sanchez won the fight of the night bonus for their classic lightweight bout on the main card of UFC 166. They went to battle for three rounds and Melendez ended up winning the fight by unanimous decision on the judges scorecards.
This is the fourth time in five fights that Sanchez has won the fight of the night bonus and the sixth time overall that he has been awarded the bonus.
The knockout of the night went to Dodson, who defeated Darrell Montague in the opening bout of the UFC 166 pay-per-view. Dodson rocked Montague early in the fight and would end up finishing the fight in the fourth minute. He is now 4-1 in the UFC and this is the second straight fight that he has been awarded a fight night bonus.
Ferguson won the submission of the night for his preliminary card win over Mike Rio as he won the fight with a d’arce choke. It was the first fight for Ferguson in 17 months and he has won four of his five fights in the UFC.
