Kyoji Horiguchi drops to flyweight and meets Chris Cariaso at UFC 169

A flyweight bout has been added to UFC 169 on February 1st as Kyoji Horiguchi is dropping down in weight from the bantamweight division and will meet Chris Cariaso.UFC 169

UFC officials announced the fight booking on Tuesday and it will likely be apart of the preliminary card.

UFC 169 takes place on February 1st from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey and will be headline by Dominick Cruz meeting Renan Barao in a bantamweight title unification bout.

Horiguchi (12-1) made his UFC debut last month as he defeated Dustin Pague by TKO in the second round. It was his third straight win by stoppage and he is currently on a six fight winning streak.

Cariaso (15-5) entered the UFC in 2011 and his first four bouts in the organization came as a bantamweight. He dropped down to the flyweight division last year, and has gone 2-2 in the 125 pound weight class.
