The UFC held a conference call on Friday afternoon with welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre and UFC President Dana White. St-Pierre announced that he is taking time away from the sport and is vacating the welterweight title. 
With St-Pierre vacating the title, White announced that Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler will fight for the vacant title in the main event of UFC 171 on March 15th at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas.
