According to a press release sent out by Fox Sports, November was Fox Sports 1’s most watched month, week and event since launch thanks to College Football and the UFC.
College Football lead the way, with the Civil War between Oregon and Oregon State (11/29) drawing 2.179 million viewers, a new FS1 record.
When it came to the UFC, the TUF 18 Finale and Prelims (11/30) both hit great numbers including 1.129 million viewers and 938,000 viewers respectively. Making the shows the #2 and #4 most-watched events in UFC Fox Sports 1 history.
When you tally all this up, plus the overall increase in primetime viewership, Fox Sports 1 averaged 457,000 viewers in primetime for the month. Comparatively, that number is effectively double both September (246,000) and October (215,000). FS1 also set a new average high in total-day viewerships (134,000) compared to September (101,000) and October (115,000).
For a network that struggled out the gate and was fighting tooth-and-nail for every primetime viewer, November is not only huge for FS1, but it is the momentum they needed. With College Basketball just starting out, and even more UFC on the docket, Fox Sports 1 is poised to be a beast in 2014.
