Bobby Green has pulled out of his fight at UFC 169 against Abel Trujillo and replacing him in the bout will be former WEC champion Jamie Varner.
UFC officials announced the change on Tuesday and the new bout is expected to remain on the main card.
UFC 169 takes place on February 1st from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey and will be headline by Dominick Cruz meeting Renan Barao in a bantamweight title unification bout.
Varner (21-8-1, 2NC) has gone 2-2 since coming back to the UFC and is coming off a split decision defeat against Gleison Tibau at UFC 164. He was scheduled to fight at UFC on FOX 9 against Pat Healy, but he had to pull out of that fight with an injury.
Trujillo (11-5, 1NC) entered the UFC as the end of 2012 and has gone 2-1, 1NC in his four UFC fights. His most recent fight took place at UFC on FOX 9 where he defeated Roger Bowling by TKO in the second round.
