Matt Brown has pulled out of his UFC on FOX 9 main card bout against Carlos Condit due to a back injury and Condit will be moved to another card.
Brown confirmed the injury on Twitter after it was reported by Front Row Brian on Twitter and later by Jeremy Botter of Bleacher Report.
“Thanks for the support guys,” Brown tweeted. “I regret to inform all that I am out of the fight with Condit. I herniated 2 discs in my lower back this week.”
Brown (18-11) is currently on a six fight winning streak and a win against Condit could have put him into a potential title shot in 2014. A timetable for his return is unknown at this time.
