The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale Fight Night bonuses went to Nate Diaz, Chris Holdsworth, Josh Sampo and Ryan Benoit.
UFC President Dana White announced the bonuses at the post fight press conference and each fighter will receive a bonus of $50,000.
Diaz won the knockout of the night bonus for his first round victory over Gray Maynard in the main event of the fight card. Diaz landed multiple combinations that had Maynard out on his feet and referee Yves Lavigne came in to stop the fight. He has now won a fight night bonus on eleven occasions and this is the first knockout of the night bonus for him.
The submission of the night bonus went to Ultimate Fighter 18 men’s winner, Holdsworth. He submitted Davey Grant by rear-naked choke in the second round and all of his career wins have come by submission. This is his first rear-naked choke victory since 2011, which was in his second career fight.
Sampo and Benoit won the fight of the night for their catchweight bout that opened up the fight card. The bout was originally scheduled to be a flyweight bout, but Sampo missed weight. Since he missed weight, Sampo will not receive the $50,000 bonus and his bonus money will go to Benoit.
