The medical suspensions for The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale have been released by the Nevada State Athletic Commission and Gray Maynard was among eight fighters that received a suspension.
The commission released the medical suspensions on Monday afternoon and the suspensions were forwarded to TheMMAReport.com after they were requested.
The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale took place this past Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay Events Center and was headlined by Nate Diaz defeating Maynard by TKO in the first round.
The fighters that received the longest suspensions were Akira Corassani, Drew Dober, and Ryan Benoit. All of the fighters will need doctor clearance before being able to return to action.
The complete TUF 18 finale medical suspensions are below:
- Gray Maynard: Suspended until 1/30/14 with no contact until 1/15/14 (TKO and left forehead laceration)
- Julianna Pena: Must have right thumb x-rayed, if positive then mush have orthopedic doctor clearance
- Jessica Rakoczy: Suspended until 1/15/14 with no contact until 12/31/13
- Davey Grant: Suspended until 1/15/14 with no contact until 12/31/13
- Peggy Morgan: Suspended until 1/15/14 with no contact until 12/31/13
- Akira Corassani: Must have nasal fracture cleared by an ENT doctor or no contest until 5/20/14. Minimum suspension and no contest until 1/30/14 with no contact until 1/15/14
- Drew Dober: Must have right orbital fractures cleared by an ENT or ophthalmologist or no contest until 5/30/14. Minimum suspension and no contest until 1/30/14 with no contact until 1/15/14
- Ryan Benoit: Must have left hand x-rayed, if positive then must have orthopedic clearance or no contest until 5/30/14. Minimum suspension and no contest until 12/31/13 with no contact until 12/22/13
