UFC on FOX 9 took place this past weekend in Sacramento and the preliminary card was shown on Fox Sports 1 and according to Nielsen sources, the viewership for the preliminary card landed at 613,000 total viewers.
This was the first time that a UFC on FOX preliminary card aired on Fox Sports 1, as the previously preliminary cards for the FOX cards were shown on Fox Sports 1.
The 613k number is a 1% increase for all of the preliminary card that have aired on Fox Sports 1, which began showing UFC events in August. The last preliminary card that aired on Fox Sports 1 was for UFC 167, which drew nearly one million viewers as it came in at 998,000.
The main card on FOX drew 2.41 million viewers and it should be noted that this show had a sizable viewership bump with a 17% increase compared to the last UFC on Fox show, UFC on Fox 8, which drew a series low 2.04 million viewers. Also, when you compare UFC on Fox 9 to the last time the UFC was on in December, UFC on Fox 5, the UFC showed a 45% viewership decrease, as UFC on Fox 5 hit 4.4 million viewers.
