Aljamain Sterling replaces an injured Bryan Caraway and meets Lucas Martins at UFC 170

The UFC has signed undefeated bantamweight Aljamain Sterling and he will be replacing an injured Bryan Caraway against Lucas Martins at UFC 170 on February 22nd. UFC 170 Poster

The UFC officially announced the signing of Sterling on Wednesday, after it was reported on Tuesday.

UFC 170 will come from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on February 22nd and will be headlined by Ronda Rousey defending the UFC women’s bantamweight title against Sara McMann.

Sterling (8-0) is a member of the Serra-Longo Fight Team and four of his victories have come by submission. His last five fights have come in CageFury Fighting Championships and his last three wins have come by rear-naked choke submission.

Martins (14-1) entered the UFC as a lightweight at the beginning of 2013 and after going 1-1 in his first two fights, he dropped down to the bantamweight division in September. His bantamweight debut came at UFC Fight Night 28 and he defeated Junior Hernandez by technical submission.
