Bryan Caraway out of UFC 170 with an injury; UFC will announce a new opponent for Lucas Martins soon

An undisclosed injury has forced Bryan Caraway to pull out of his bantamweight bout at UFC 170 against Lucas Martins and the UFC will be announing a new opponent for Martins soon.UFC 170 Poster

The injury to Caraway was announced by the UFC on Tuesday afternoon.

UFC 170 will come from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas and will be headlined by Ronda Rousey defending the UFC women’s bantamweight title against Sara McMann.

Caraway (18-6) has won three of his four fights on the UFC and has won a fight night bonus in his last two UFC wins. He won the submission of the night in his last fight as he submitted Johnny Bedford at UFC 159 and his last five wins have come by submission.

Martins (14-1) entered the UFC as a lightweight at the beginning of 2013 and after going 1-1 in his first two fights, he dropped down to the bantamweight division in September. His bantamweight debut came at UFC Fight Night 28 and he defeated Junior Hernandez by technical submission.
