Erik Koch is moving up to the lightweight division and will make his debut in the division against Rafaello Oliveira at UFC 170 on February 22nd.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Saturday morning and the bout is expected to be place on the preliminary card.
UFC 170 will come from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas and will be headlined by Ronda Rousey defending the UFC women’s bantamweight title against Sara McMann.
Koch (13-3) has dropped back to back fights in the UFC featherweight division after being on a four fight winning streak. His most recent defeat came at UFC 164 as he lost a decision to Dustin Poirier.
Oliveira (15-6) is currently in his second stint in the UFC and has lost three of his four fights since coming back to the organization. Since coming back, his only win came at UFC 148 in 2012 as he defeated Yoislandy Izquierdo.
