UFC 169 will take place on February 1st from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey and Herb Dean has been named the referee of the main event title bout between bantamweight champion Renan Barao and Urijah Faber.
Nick Lembo of the New Jersey State Athletic Control Board made the announcement of Dean as the referee for the main event in an email sent to TheMMAReport.com.
Along with naming Dean as the referee for the main event title fight, Lembo announced the assignments of the judges and referees for all twelve fights on the UFC 169 card.
