UFC middleweight Michael Bisping received clearance from his doctor and he will return at The Ultimate Fighter Nations Finale on April 16th and will meet Tim Kennedy in the main event of the fight card.
UFC President Dana White announced the fight during his UFC 169 pre-fight media scrum in New York today.
The Ultimate Fighter Nations Finale takes place from the Colisee Pepsi in Quebec City on April 16th and the event will air on Fox Sports 1.
Bisping (24-5) has been out of action since UFC 159, where he defeated Alan Belcher by technical decision. He was scheduled to return to October against Mark Munoz, but an eye injury kept him out of the fight. If he is able to defeat Kennedy in April, it will be the time he has won back to back fights since 2011.
Kennedy (17-4) has won three fights in a row since losing to Luke Rockhold in Strikeforce. Two of his last three wins have come by stoppage and he won the knockout of the night bonus at UFC Fight for the Troops 3 against Rafael Natal.
