The UFC will be returning to the state of Florida for the first time since UFC on FX 3 in 2012 as UFC on FOX 11 will come from the Amway Center in Orlando on April 19th.
The event was announced by UFC officials on Monday evening.
Along with announcing the event, two fights have been added to the fight card with the matchups being Travis Browne vs. Fabricio Werdum and Miesha Tate vs. Liz Carmouche.
Browne (16-1-1) is currently on a three fight winning streak and all three wins have come by knockout in the first round. He has won the knockout of the night bonus in all of those fights and defeated Josh Barnett in sixty seconds at last month’s UFC 168. Werdum (17-5-1) has also won three fights in a row since returning to the UFC in 2012. His last two wins have come by stoppage and his most recent victory came at UFC on FUEL TV 10 as he submitted Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.
Tate (13-5) has lost back to back fights and three of her last four. She is coming off a submission defeat to Ronda Rousey and she has won the fight of the night bonus in her last two fights. Carmouche (9-4) has dropped two of her last three fights and is coming off a decision lost to Alexis Davis at UFC Fight for the Troops 3.
Tickets for UFC on FOX 11 will go on sale February 14th and the UFC will be announcing the main event for this fight card in the coming weeks.
