A lightweight bout has been added to the UFC Fight Night 40 fight card on May 10th in Cincinnati as Erik Koch will look for his second straight win as he meets Ultimate Fighter alum Daron Cruickshank.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Thursday morning and it’s likely this bout will be placed on the main card broadcast on Fox Sports 1.
UFC Fight Night 40 takes place from the U.S. Bank Arena on May 10th and tickets for the event will go on sale on March 21st.
Koch (14-3) dropped down to the lightweight division last weekend at UFC 170 and defeated Rafaello Oliveira by TKO in the first round. His was his fourth career victory to come by TKO/KO and two of his three wins in the UFC have come by TKO/KO.
Cruickshank (14-4) has won four of his six fights in the UFC since entering the organization during The Ultimate Fighter 15. He is coming off a second round TKO victory against Mike Rio and two of his last three wins have come by TKO/KO.
