An undisclosed injury has forced Sean Soriano to pull out of his UFC on FOX 11 bout against Estevan Payan and replacing Soriano in the bout will be former WEC champion Mike Brown.
UFC officials announced the change on Wednesday and the new bout will take place on the preliminary card.
UFC on FOX 11 takes place from the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida on April 19th and will be headlined by a heavyweight bout as Travis Browne meets Fabricio Werdum in a potential number one contenders bout.
Brown (26-9) will enter this fight after losing to Steven Siler at UFC Fight Night 26 in August. The defeat snapped a two fight winning streak and it was Brown’s first defeat to come by knockout since his 2010 defeat in WEC against Manny Gamburyan.
Payan (14-5, 1NC) has lost back to back fights in the UFC and is coming off a decision defeat to Robbie Peralta at UFC 168. Prior to entering the UFC, he was unbeaten in previous eight fights (7-0, 1NC) and two of the wins came in Strikeforce.
