Santiago Ponzinibbio has pulled out of his UFC on FOX 11 bout against Jordan Mein for an unknown reason and taking his place in the bout will be UFC newcomer Hernani Perpetuo.
UFC officials announced the change on Thursday and the new bout will take place on the preliminary card.
Perpetuo (17-3, 1NC) was signed by the UFC last year and is unbeaten in his last night fights. His last fight took place in August as he defeated Tommy Depret by unanimous decision to win the Shooto welterweight title.
Mein (27-9) has won nine of his past eleven fights and has gone 3-2 in UFC/Strikeforce. He is coming off a TKO defeat to Matt Brown at UFC on FOX 7 and the defeat snapped a three fight winning streak.
