A women’s bantamweight bout has been added to UFC 172 in Baltimore as Ultimate Fighter 18 alum Jessamyn Duke meets Bethe Correia.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Monday after the bout will be placed on the preliminary card.
UFC 172 will take place from the Baltimore Arena on April 26th and will be headlined by Jon Jones defending the UFC light heavyweight title against Glover Teixeira.
Duke (3-0, 1NC) was a member of Team Rousey during TUF 18 and won her official UFC debut against Peggy Morgan by decision at the live finale. Two of her three wins have come by stoppage, including a submission of the night bonus at Invicta FC 3 against Marciea Allen.
Correia (7-0) was signed by the UFC in late 2013 and defeated Julie Kedzie by split decision at UFC Fight Night 33. It was her third straight victory to come by decision and she is a member of the Pitbull Brothers fight team.
