A lightweight bout has been added to the UFC 173 card on May 24th in Las Vegas as Ultimate Fighter alum Al Iaquinta meets Mitch Clarke.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Wednesday evening.
UFC 173 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 24th and will be headlined by Chris Weidman defending the UFC middleweight title against Vitor Belfort.
Iaquinta (8-2-1) has won three fights in a row after losing to Michael Chiesa in the Ultimate Fighter 15 Final. His most recent win took place at UFC 169 at the beginning of this month as he defeated Kevin Lee by unanimous decision.
Clarke (10-2) was signed by the UFC in 2011 and dropped his first two fights in the organization. He earned his first victory in the UFC last year in June at UFC 161 as he defeated John Maguire by unanimous decision.
