World Series of Fighting 9 will take place on March 29th from The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and the fight card is now complete with the addition of six preliminary bouts. 
The six preliminary bouts were announced by World Series of Fighting on Tuesday and the featured bout of the prelims will be a featherweight bout as Chris Gruetzemacher (11-1) vs. John Gunderson (34-15).
“One of the great things about being based in Las Vegas is the proximity to so many of the world’s absolute best MMA camps,” World Series of Fighting President Ray Sefo said. “With us returning to our home base for this amazing event, it made sense for us to feature some of the city’s best talent, and I think we’ve put together a preliminary card that is going to deliver an entertaining evening ahead of our spectacular NBCSN-broadcast main-card lineup.”
Gruetzemacher trains out of the MMA Lab in Arizona and is currently on a ten fight winning streak. His last seven victories have come by stoppage, with the last four coming by TKO/KO. Grunderson is dropping down to the featherweight division after being defeated by Dan Lauzon at World Series of Fighting 3. He will be looking to snap a two fight losing streak in this bout and he is 4-4 since exiting the UFC in 2010.
In addition to the Gruetzemacher/Gunderson bout, the other matchups on the preliminary card are Sean Cantor (1-0) vs. Bryson Hansen (6-1), Phil Dace (9-4) vs. Danny Davis (8-8-1), Jimmy Jones (4-2) vs. Rudy Morales (2-0), Gil Guardado (2-0) vs. Jimmy Spicuzza (2-0), and Tanner Cowan (0-0) vs. A.J. Williams (0-0).
World Series of Fighting 9 will come from The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on March 29th and will be headlined by Steve Carl defending the welterweight title against Rousimar Palhares.
