Albert Tumenov vs. Anthony Lapsley announced for UFC Fight Night 40

A welterweight bout has been officially added to the UFC Fight Night 40 card on May 10th in Cincinnati as Albert Tumenov has agreed to face Anthony Lapsley.

The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Tuesday evening.

Fight Night 40 takes place from the U.S. Bank Arena on May 10th and will be headlined by a welterweight bout as Matt Brown meets Erick Silva.

Tumenov (12-2) made his UFC debut last month at UFC Fight Night 36 and lost a split decision to Ildemar Alcantara. The defeat snapped a eight fight winning streak and it was his first defeat since losing a decision to Murad Abdulaev.

Lapsley (22-6, 2NC) was signed by the UFC last year after winning four fights in a row, with three of those wins coming by submission. His UFC debut came in November at UFC 167 against Jason High and he was defeated by unanimous decision.
