Bellator 111 TV Ratings down 25% from season ten debut

According to Nielsen sources, Bellator 111’s preliminary viewership landed at 653,000 total viewers and the peak viewership came during the main event title fight between Eduardo Dantas and Anthony Leone with 793,000 viewers.

Prior to Friday night, the past five Bellator events had peak with at least 900,000 viewers and the 653,000 viewers is in line with the season nine average on Friday nights, which was 660,000.

This is the lowest rated Bellator show since Bellator 105 at the end of October, which landed at 520,000 viewers before DVR. Last week’s DVR number raised the viewership 13 percent, which was the second highest viewership bump for Bellator with the highest DVR bump being for Bellator 106.

When it came to the competition, the night on cable was won by Gold Rush on Discovery Channel with 4.4 million viewers. Other top shows on cable that aired at the same time as Bellator were Smackdown on SyFy (3.1 million), NBA on ESPN (1.784) and American Dad on Adult Swim (1.6 million).
