UFC President Dana White recently announced the organization would be heading to San Antonio on June 28th for a Fight Night card and the event now has a headliner as Cub Swanson will meet Jeremy Stephens in a five round featherweight bout.
The fight booking was announced on Wednesday by Fox Sports after UFC officials confirmed the bout to the media organization.
Swanson (20-5) is currently on a five fight winning streak and is coming off a victory at UFC 162 against Dennis Siver. During his winning streak, four of the five victories have come by TKO/KO and he has won a fight night bonus in three of his last four fights.
Stephens (23-9) has won three in a row since dropping down to the featherweight division and two of those wins have come by decision. His most recent victory came at UFC on FOX 10 in January as he defeated top ten featherweight Darren Elkins.
UFC Fight Night 43: Swanson vs. Stephens will come from the AT&T Center on June 28th and ticket information will be announced by the UFC soon.
